CAREER CHANGE
WHO IS REBECCA?
SHARON: Rebecca (not her real name) has a powerful presence. Successful and passionate about her work, her creative spirit is a force not to be denied.
REBECCA: I'm taking a gigantic leap. I’ve decided to leave my secure, well-paid job to go out on my own. My dream to do freelance work has been deferred long enough. I'm excited. . . and a bit scared. I know what I want to do, but is it going to devastate me financially?
SHARON: Following a complimentary 15-minute call, Rebecca and I agreed to work together and focus these primary questions:
How long will it take before I can leave my current job and be on sound financial footing?
How much money will I need to earn to meet with my expenses when I’m self-employed?

REBECCA'S MONEY DANCE EXPERIENCE
REBECCA: My primary questions required a deeper understanding of what was going on in my financial life. At the top of the list was reviewing my living expenses. Seeing how much I was spending was painful! Sharon encouraged me to honor all the feelings that came up as I delved deeper into the realities of my current situation. My next surprise came when I learned how much money I needed to launch my own business. Rather than allow my dismay to diminish my dream, Sharon convinced me that the projections and spreadsheets could provide the motivation and clarity I needed to move forward. So we estimated what shape my finances would be in if I left my job in three months, six months or a year. Now that I had the information I needed to make an good decision, I implemented a savings plan, set a savings target, and set my sights on turning in my resignation in one year. I feel confident and excited as I anticipate my future.
